Dublin To Mark New Park's Grand Opening

The 30-acre, Don Biddle Community Park will launch with ribbon cutting, unveiling of military-honoring art, live music, inflatables & games.

DUBLIN, CA — There's a new park in town!

The City of Dublin will celebrate the grand opening Sept. 24 of the new Don Biddle Community Park with a ribbon cutting, art unveil and family fun.

The park is named for former Vice Mayor Donald C. Biddle, the 2005 Dublin "Citizen of the Year," a resident who passed away in 2018 after devoting more than 40 years of public service to the Dublin community, the city said.

The grand opening at Don Biddle Community Park, at 6100 Horizon Parkway, off Arnold Road and a few blocks north of Central Parkway, is set for Saturday, Sept. 24 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

As an homage to the region's military history, public art selected for Don Biddle Park features four "larger-than-life" statues of military members, representing four different branches and four different wars (World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War and the Gulf War), city officials said.
