As temperatures drop, Dublin’s mayor asks residents to keep an eye open for homeless individuals in need of shelter. Officials with the National Weather Service say freezing temperatures are possible in the East Bay tonight and on New Year’s Day.

Mayor David Haubert told Patch, “During times like this the most vulnerable people need help the most, there is help through City Serve and YMCA and I’m asking anyone who knows of people in need to connect to these organizations through the numbers and e-mails listed.”

Haubert says residents can contact CityServe’s Gloria Gregory by phone or email at (925) 452-8276 (messages left on that number come immediately to Gregory’s e-mail) or gloria@cityservetrivalley.org.

In a previous Patch article, Gregory said, “We at CityServe are ready to help in any and every way we can.”
