Dublin Mayor: Tune In To 3 Coronavirus Updates Thursday

Get updates on local schools, public health and business during three webinars planned Thursday, Mayor David Haubert writes.

— From Mayor David Haubert:

Dear Neighbors,

As we enter another week of quarantine, I would like to remind everyone to help “flatten the curve.” This is the week we are expected to peak. Stay at home, only go out for essentials, practice safe social distancing. Doing these will help stop the spread and save lives.

The new order adds some clarifying language around essential business and activities, as well as some new directives.

City of Dublin to Host Three Virtual Community Conversations on Thursday, April 9

In order to share information with the Dublin community about the current COVID-19 situation and how the City and County are responding, the City of Dublin will host a series of back-to-back virtual Community Conversations on Thursday, April 9, via Zoom Video Communications, and hosted by Dublin Mayor David Haubert.

Topics will include a COVID-19 Public Health Update; an update from the Dublin Unified School District and the City of Dublin; and an update on our local business community. Those wishing to participate in any or all of the conversations and ask questions of the participants will need to log in separately for each meeting. Once registered, call-in information and a link to access the webinar will be provided.

We are not in this alone. This virus has moved throughout most of the world. It has interrupted lives, travel, business, and other plans. It will be remembered as an event of historic scale and significance.

But if we take the appropriate precautions to mitigate the spread, it will be only a disruption. For your safety, and the safety of others, I ask that you heed the advice of our leaders and, in time, we will be able to return to the normalcy we yearn for.

I am grateful for the selfless and brave people serving on the front lines of this epidemic in hospitals, fire stations, pharmacies, and in essential businesses. Thank you.

Remember: Stay at home, stop the spread, save lives.

— David Haubert, Mayor of Dublin
