Dublin PG And E Likely To Continue Rolling Blackouts Through Wednesday

The blackouts will not extend overnight.

PG&E has confirmed that they will be continue to proceed with rolling blackouts during this heat wave. While not everyone in Dublin may be affected, please be prepared for your power to be out for one to two hours between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. The blackouts will not extend overnight. The need for rolling blackouts is due to the added pressure on PG&E’s power grids.

Consumers have already been asked to conserve energy from the Flex Alert issued by the California Independent System Operator (ISO). PG&E has offered the following tips to conserve energy:

  • Raise the thermostat to 78 degrees.
  • Use a ceiling fan to cool off.
  • Cover windows to help cool your home.
  • Avoid using the oven.
  • Limit the opening of refrigerators.
