Traffic controls will be in place to close the center and right lanes on westbound Dublin Boulevard approaching the intersection; the northbound lane on Clark Avenue, north of the intersection; the left-hand turn lane on Clark Avenue to turn east on Dublin Boulevard; and the left-hand turn lane on eastbound Dublin Boulevard to turn north on Clark Avenue. A detour will be set up for vehicles needing to access the neighborhood north of Clark Avenue.
The valves being replaced were installed between 1964 and 1967. The District plans to excavate to the valves and prepare a trench Tuesday and Wednesday nights. On Thursday night, crews will perform the replacement, and Friday night will consist of pavement restoration. Some commercial customers will have water turned off during part of the work Thursday night and will be notified in advance. DSRSD is performing these repairs during the night to minimize disruption to traffic and businesses.
