Dublin School District Issues Statement Addressing Boy Struck By Vehicle This Morning

Counselors are available at the high and middle schools for students seeking comfort, officials said.

Statement issued this morning from Dublin Unified School District following the accident on Village Parkway:

“The safety of our students is of utmost importance to all of us. We take all incidents involving the safety of our students very seriously.

“At approximately 7:55 a.m. this morning a Dublin Unified School District student was struck by a car and injured on Northbound Village Parkway in front of the Dublin High School parking lot.

“The injured 12 year old was transported by helicopter for medical attention. Dublin Police Department is handling the investigation. Both the high school and middle schools have counselors available should students feel the need to seek assistance.

“The family has requested that no further information be released at this time. If additional information becomes available it will be updated accordingly.”
