Dublin Schools Board: Longtime Volunteer Officially Wins The Vote

Voters elected longtime resident and schools volunteer Catherine Kuo to the board in November, but the county certified the results Tuesday.

DUBLIN, CA — It's official: Catherine Kuo will serve on the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees. The Alameda County Registrar of Voters certified Tuesday the results of the Nov. 5 special election.

Kuo, a longtime Dublin resident and schools volunteer, secured 76 percent of the vote in her race to represent area 3, according to the county results. Her opponent was Malcolm Norrigton.

In her time as a volunteer, Kuo has served as Art in Action and Junior Achievement docent, Jog-A-Thon coordinator, Dougherty Parent Faculty club president and more, the district said in a Nov. 6 statement.
