Dear Dublin families:

Student safety and security is our top priority. As you know, tomorrow’s weather forecast indicates a large storm approaching. This is to inform you that schools in Dublin will be open tomorrow for learning and prepared to receive students.

Teachers, administrators and staff have been trained on best practices under these conditions. We are well-prepared in the event there are power outages at our school sites. We will be sending district staff to sites to provide additional support.

Please remember to:
- Send your children to school in appropriate rain attire.
- Allow extra time to transport your children to school and schedule extra time to arrive at schools sites in anticipation of dismissal times.
- Reduce your speeds as you travel through our streets and keep a close eye out for pedestrians. Also, remember to drive with your headlights on.
- Reinforce safe-driving practices with your student driver(s).
- Remind students walking to school to be extra cautious and aware of traffic and their surroundings.
