Dublin Seeking Submissions For Utility Box Art
Winning artists will be paid a $1,000 stipend per box painted.

DUBLIN, CA — Nine more utility boxes in Dublin will be painted in of 2019 as part of the city’s popular utility box program. The City of Dublin asks high school artists working under the supervision of an art teacher or professional artists to submit designs relating to the theme: “The New American Backyard, with an emphasis on the history of travel through Dublin.”
The boxes slated to be painted can be found along Dublin Boulevard between Village Parkway and Hacienda Drive.
Those interested may submit their art beginning September 1 through October 31, 2018. Winning artists will be paid a $1,000 stipend per box painted.

The Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission will review and recommend designs to Dublin City Council. The council will award contracts in January, according to city officials.
