Dublin To Swear In New Mayor, Councilmembers Tuesday
The city will also confirm the mayor's appointments to a number of commissions, and bid goodbye to outgoing Councilmember Shawn Kumagai.

DUBLIN, CA — Dublin will swear in new leadership Tuesday night during its council meeting.
Mayor Melissa Hernandez and councilmembers-elect Jean Josey and Kashef Qaadri will be sworn in for four-year terms. Hernandez was re-elected without any challengers, while Josey (currently vice mayor) and Qaadri (a planning commissioner), won the most votes in a three-person race for two seats.
The ceremony will also recognize outgoing councilmember Shawn Kumagai. Kumagai opted not to run for re-election, and instead ran to represent Assembly District 20, but lost to Liz Ortega, the statewide director of the University of California system’s largest employee union.
