Dublin Whole Foods Reopens Following Gas Leak

The store reopened the following day, a Whole Foods official said.

DUBLIN, CA — The Whole Foods in Dublin reopened Monday following a gas leak evacuation, store officials confirmed to Patch.

“The store re-opened the next day and has been open regular hours since then,” Whole Foods spokesperson Nathan Cimbala said in an email.

The store at 5200 Dublin Boulevard was evacuated Sunday at around 11:30 a.m. due to a possible gas leak in one of the refrigeration units, according to Alameda County Fire Department spokesperson Cheryl Hurd. After fire crews discovered a possible leak at 11:28 a.m., the entire store, as well as 15 employees, were evacuated out of caution.

There were no reports of any injuries.

Patch is awaiting further information from the Alameda County Public Health Department on the findings of the investigation.
