Dublin Woman Wins $1.6M On Las Vegas Airport Slot Machine

LAS VEGAS, NV — What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you hit the jackpot and win $1.6 million on a slot machine at the airport... Then you pack up that cash and hustle home to the bank. That is exactly what happened to Dublin resident Sandra A. after she placed a $5 bet playing a Wheel of Fortune slot machine in the McCarran International Airport’s C Concourse in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to airport officials, Sandra visits Las Vegas twice a year to gamble. Sandra is not the only one in Dublin to win big in the last few weeks. In fact, Dubliners seem to be on a winning streak lately.
Albert Tirnetta is $1.2 million richer since winning the California Lottery's "Set for Life Scratchers" game with a ticket he bought in Dublin in late July. Tirnetta bought the winning ticket at Earl Anthony's Dublin Bowl where he visits three times a week.
