DUBLIN, CA — The Eden Fire is 100 percent contained at 58 acres, Cal Fire reported Tuesday at 7:17 a.m. Evacuation orders have been lifted, and no injuries or structure damage has been reported.

The fire broke out at around 4:15 p.m. when a car fire on I-580 near the Eden Canyon Road exit spread to nearby vegetation, the Alameda County Fire Department said. The fire spread moderately and grew to about 20 acres within about an hour. Fire departments were warning that homes west of Schaefer Road were threatened, and the city of Dublin opened up the Shannon Community Center as a possible space for evacuees.
