DUBLIN, CA — Aadyn Prado will go down in Dublin history as the first Emerald High School baseball player to hit a homerun.

Prado, a 16-year-old junior, hit the homer at Fallon Sports Park on March 3 at a game against Bradshaw Christian School. It sailed 315 feet.

“It was a surreal moment, I knew the ball went far but I didn't really see how far until they told me and it set the tone for the vibe of the emerald baseball season,” Prado said in a quote shared with Patch.

"When Aadyn hit the homer- I yelled because right off the bat I knew it was going out, hit the top net over the fence. Aadyn has always been a hard worker and I'm glad it paid off in the right way, at the right time, first one to do it in school history is something to hang your hat on, well Aadyn,” said Coach Gabe Tanner, who is also a pitcher for the Oakland Ballers.
