Free Movies in the Park

Summer is in full swing, time to put a free family activity on your calendar.

Outdoor movie nights in  start Friday. Get there at 7 p.m. and show time is about 8:30 or when the sun goes down.

This week's movie is Despicable Me, rated PG.

Families can bring a picnic, blankets and low beach chairs.

The Karate Kid will air July 29. The original True Grit with John Wayne will play Aug. 13 at the Heritage Park and Museums.
