Fire Department Vehicle Maintenance Facility Dedication Held in Dublin
The facility is named after William J. McCammon, who was the first Alameda County Fire Chief.
DUBLIN, CA — The William J. McCammon Alameda County Fire Department Vehicle Maintenance facility is now officially open in Dublin. Fire Chief David Rocha and Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty and other Dublin dignitaries attended a dedication ceremony held this week.
The facility is named after William J. McCammon, who was the first Alameda County Fire Chief, and served from 1993 to 2006. McCammon died on October 13, 2014 at the age of 61.
The facility, which provides maintenance for the department’s fleet, was previously located in Ashland. The new ACFD Vehicle Maintenance Facility is located at 5777 Scarlett Court in Dublin.
