Fire Reported at Santa Rita Jail Found to Be Smoldering Outlet

One crew remained at the jail and the rest of the fire crews were canceled, a fire spokesperson said.

DUBLIN, CA: A fire reported at the Santa Rita Jail in Dublin Wednesday morning was actually a smoldering outlet, a fire official said. According to Alameda County Fire spokesperson Aisha Knowles, fire crews responding to 5325 Broder Place to investigate a report of a fire discovered a smoldering outlet.

"One fire crew remained at the scene and the others were canceled," Knowles said.

The fire was reported at about 8:35 a.m., according to the Pulespoint phone application.
