DUBLIN, CA: A new sub sandwich restaurant chain recently opened in Dublin. Firehouse Subs, owned by Chris Walker, was founded in 1994 by two brothers and former firefighters.
According to a statement released by Firehouse Subs, each of the restaurants display a custom, hand-painted mural inside the dining room. Each painting is designed to pay homage to the town.
“The Dublin mural depicts the famous old Murray Schoolhouse in the background, which is now a museum that follows the journey of Dublin settlers. In the foreground, a leprechaun is shown stealing a City of Dublin firefighter’s helmet as two kids chase him trying to retrieve it.”
There are 960 Firehouse Subs throughout the country. The eatery offers sandwiches, salads and low-calorie options, according to the website.
Firehouse Subs, which is located at 5252 Dublin Blvd., is open Sunday throughThursday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday, Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m.
