Fireworks Sales Begin Wednesday In Dublin

DUBLIN, CA — Sales of ‘safe and sane’ fireworks begin Wednesday in Dublin. Registered nonprofits will sell the fireworks to Dublin homeowners until July 5.

Fireworks are permitted at single-family residences and in the parking lots of four local parks on July 4 between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.: Shannon Park, Dublin Sports Grounds, Alamo Creek Park, and Emerald Glen Park. They are not permitted in any other park, or multi-housing units, city facilities, businesses or schools.

Dublin police say they will step up enforcement against illegal fireworks, including in the parks and elsewhere. Penalties for anyone caught selling or using illegal fireworks could include heavy fines or jail time.
