With more humans off of East Bay freeways, geese have taken over.

California Highway Patrol — Dublin officers have now caught three waterfowl families in two weeks on local roads.

CHP first shared on May 6 that officers gave a police escort to birds walking along the shoulder near the I-580 Tassajara Road/Santa Rita Road exit.

CHP shared on May 11 that geese were steered off of westbound I-580 at Fallon Road. The next day officers shared another photo — this time, officers had to stop traffic as two adult geese and their four babies crossed the roadway.

Thanks for looking out for humans and waterfowl alike, CHP.
