Where/When: in San Ramon on Friday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
Why Go: Watch lifeguard skill and synchronized swimming demonstrations and have fun with inner tube races and a rubber ducky dunk during this Olympic Week celebration. Olympic swimmer Lynn Gautschi will address the audience at the event.

Where/When: in Livermore on Saturday at 2 and 7 p.m.
Why Go: Watch talented dancers in the production Circle the Earth, featuring the artistry of Asia, lilting waltzes from Europe, kinetic drumbeats of Africa and lively salsa from South America. Guest performers include the McGrath Irish Dancers, the Kalaikoil Dance of South India and the Pleasanton Community Concert Band.

Where/When: in Livermore on Saturday at 11 a.m.
Why Go: Cool off with a walk along the creek to look for fish, turtles, frogs and aquatic plants. Hikers will wade in the creek; wear closed-toed shoes that can get wet.
