Here's your weekend roundup of Patch's picks for family fun in the Tri-Valley for July 8 - 10.

Don't miss the Alameda County Fair's final weekend in Pleasanton, treat the family to the circus in Dublin, enjoy live music and children's activities in Danville, dance at a free outdoor concert in San Ramon and attend the Shakespeare Festival in Livermore.

Where/When: in Pleasanton through Sunday.

Where/When:  I-580 at Hacienda (vacant lot west of Hacienda Crossings) in Dublin, opening Friday at 8 p.m. and running through July 18 (click for show times).
Why Go: The circus is coming to town! See aerialists, acrobats, jugglers and comedians in this all-new human-only circus show. Get details and see recent photos at www.circusvargas.com.

Where/When: in Danville on Saturday from noon - 3 p.m.
Why Go: The Livery hosts a family-friendly outdoor festival featuring live music (Dream Posse), horse and wagon rides, face painting, balloon twisting and more.

Where/When: in San Ramon on Sunday at 5:30 p.m.
Why Go: Bring your families, friends and picnic dinners to the season's first Summer Concert event in San Ramon. Kick off your shoes and dance in the grass as the Bay Area's Double Funk Crunch plays lively hits of the '70s and '80s plus popular songs of today.
Price: Free. (Wine, beer, soda and ice cream available for purchase.)

Where/When: in Livermore on Sunday at 7 p.m.
Why Go: If you have older kids, treat them to the Livermore Shakespeare Festival's presentation of Macbeth under the stars at Concannon Vineyard. Families can bring a picnic dinner (picnic area opens at 5:30 p.m.) and buy wine, non-alcoholic beverages, artisan cheese and snacks in the tasting room. Visit the festival website for a play synopsis. Note: Ages 9 and up are welcome; no children younger than 5 will be admitted.
Price: $5 kid tickets (MacBeth Family Night special pricing sponsored by the Livermore Rotarian Foundation), $37 for adults. Buy tickets online.
