Give Input on Proposed Dublin IKEA Store

The popular furnishings retailer has submitted a proposal to build a 339,000-square-foot store in Tri-Valley by 2018.

DUBLIN, Calif. -- Tri-Valley residents are invited to attend a public workshop which will provide information about the current Ikea Retail Center development proposal, city officials said. Officials say they would like to hear from the community about the proposal.

In March, IKEA announced it had submitted a proposal for a 339,000-square-foot store in Dublin. If approved, the store would open in 2018.

The furnishings retailer is aiming to build on 21 acres at the northwestern corner of Interstate 580 and Hacienda Drive and would feature a supervised children’s play area and restaurant. There are 41 IKEA stores in the U.S.
