Grafton Station's Newest Restaurant

A new fusion restaurant will sublease space inside of Karma Fusion Lounge.

Changes are coming soon to Grafton Station when Unir Restaurant and Bar opens inside in early November.

Unir's owner, Mark Milz, said the new restaurant is subleasing the space from Karma Fusion Lounge and partnering with them to build the concept.

Small plates and desserts are currently served at Karma so the facility is equipped for food preparation, but the lounge is more known for its nightclub atmosphere. Milz's plan is about to change all that.

"We want to do great food in a fun environment," said Milz, who added that the decor inside the business will be changed a bit.

Unir is a fusion casual gourmet restaurant featuring Southwestern Mexican, Asian, and American-influenced cuisine. The menu (see attached pdf) includes starters, salads, soups, sandwiches, tacos, burritos and more.

"We want to offer healthy, fresh and distinct flavors," said Milz, who helps his family run Camachos, a Southwestern grill restaurant in Sonora.

Plans include a soft opening for the restaurant on Nov. 1 and a grand opening yet to be announced. Tentative hours are Tuesday through Saturday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and a brunch menu on Sunday.

The hope is that the restaurant will draw Tri-Valley residents and young professionals.

"We also really want to attract young families with kids," said Michelle Lema, who has been assisting with marketing for the restaurant.

Lema and Milz have spent months working on the concept for the restaurant inside of Karma. As Dublin Ranch residents, they said they felt that something like Unir was missing, especially because they will offer a happy hour menu and speciality drinks.

"Everything is homemade, that's what makes us unique," said Milz.

What else adds to the uniqueness they plan to bring to Dublin? Simply check out the burritos on the menu. The "boss burritos" offer customers nearly three pounds of food.

Prices for all items on the menu will range from $10 - $15.

Applications are currently being accepted at Unir. For more information, visit the restaurant's Facebook page.
