High School Student Applicants Sought for 'Dublin Mayor's Council'

A newly established student-led and run committee and supervised by Dublin Mayor David Haubert is currently accepting applications. High school students in Dublin are encouraged to apply. Read on for details about the committee.

Dear Applicant,

We are excited to offer you the opportunity to join the City of Dublin’s Mayor’s Council. This is a group, created by Mayor David Haubert, whose mission is to serve as a connection between students and local government officials. We find ways to positively support the mayor and hold events that benefit the community, especially the youth.

Our current major project is an Alumni Day at Dublin High School. Joining this group takes dedication, time and focus, but it is definitely worth it.

If you are interested in joining the Mayor’s Council please sign up for an interview in the attached spreadsheet. If you cannot make that day at any time, do not hesitate to contact us by emailing: dublinmayorscouncil@gmail.com so we can find a new interview time.

Interviews will take place at the Dublin Library on July 25th. Please bring a resume that includes name, grade, contact information, schooling, extracurricular activities, leadership experience, community events that you have contributed to, and cumulative GPA as of Spring 2015. Attach a letter of recommendation, if possible. Please show up at least five minutes early and dress to impress.

Based on the interviews, we will send select candidates to be interviewed by Mayor David Haubert, who will decide if you will be in the Mayor’s Council. Please contact us if you have any questions. We sincerely hope that you consider joining this group.
