Know An Outstanding Person Or Group? Tell The City Of Dublin
Dublin is seeking applications for 2019's Citizen, Young Citizen and Organization of the Year awards through Jan. 17.
DUBLIN, CA — If you know of a group, adult or youth who made a strong, positive impact on Dublin life in 2019, the city wants to hear from you.
The City of Dublin is taking nominations for its Citizen, Young Citizen and Organization of the Year awards. Young people in grades one through 12 are eligible for the Young Citizen award.
Nominees will be recognized and winners will be announced at the Feb. 19 Volunteer Recognition Event, held at the Shannon Community Center. The winning organization will receive a $500 cash prize, and the winning people will receive a $300 donation to a nonprofit of their choice.

The city said it picks winners based on: originality of the activity or project; relevance and importance to the community; time and effort; challenges in accomplishing the activity or project; and the Dublin Integrity in Action characteristics — responsibility, respectfulness, caring, giving, positive attitude, trustworthiness, cooperation, doing one's best, honesty and self-discipline.
