Kuk Sool Won of Dublin Earns Top Honors at 2026 Pacific Coast Championship
Dublin martial arts academy celebrated another Tournament Championship win with seven Grand Champions

Kuk Sool Won of Dublin has once again demonstrated its excellence in traditional Korean martial arts, securing top honors at the 2026 Pacific Coast Championship held in Yuba City. The prestigious annual event, hosted by the World Kuk Sool Association (WKSA), brought together elite competitors from across the region for a showcase of skill, discipline, and martial spirit.
This year’s competition proved especially significant for the Dublin-based martial arts academy, as its students delivered an exceptional performance across multiple divisions. Their collective achievements earned the school the coveted Championship Flag, a symbol of overall excellence and team success.
Among the standout competitors were two sets of siblings whose performances exemplified both individual excellence and the academy’s strong family-centered culture. Kayla, Kylie, and Kyden Nguyen each achieved the distinguished honor of Grand Champion in their respective divisions—an extraordinary accomplishment that highlights both their dedication and consistent training.

Students of all ages showcased their mastery in traditional techniques, competing in both open-hand and weapons forms with precision, focus, and respect. Their performances reflected the core values of traditional Korean martial arts—discipline, perseverance, etiquette, and integrity.
“This victory reflects the persistent effort, focus, and commitment of our students,” said Master Saidi, one of only seven 8th Dahn Masters worldwide. “I'm incredibly proud of how they trained, competed, and supported one another with respect and heart.”

With more than 40 years of martial arts experience, Master Saidi continues to inspire excellence both on and off the mat. His dedication to teaching extends beyond physical technique, emphasizing character development and personal growth for every student—from beginners to advanced black belts.

In its next upcoming community event in collaboration with local nonprofit, the Dublin Arts Collective, and in support of the drive for social prescribing, the school will be hosting a National Arts and Health Day session on July 18 that will incorporate stretching, breathing techniques, self defense and somatic painting.
As Kuk Sool Won of Dublin celebrates this latest championship achievement, the school remains focused on its mission: developing confident, disciplined individuals through the timeless practice of traditional martial arts.
