Lifeguards, Swimming Instructors Being Hired At The Wave

The City of Dublin is offering signing bonuses of up to $750 for both jobs depending on the number of hours worked each week.

DUBLIN, CA — The City of Dublin is accepting applications for lifeguards and swim instructors to work this summer at The Wave at Emerald Glen Park and is enticing applicants with the promise of signing bonuses up to $750, city officials announced.

The city is seeking to fill the positions for the summer with positions available at either 30 hours or 40 hours per week. A $500 signing bonus is being offered to those hired for the 30-hour jobs while those who are hired to work full-time hours, the signing bonus will be $750, the city said in a news release.

The jobs range in pay from $17 to $21.37 per hour, according to a job listing posted by the city. The Wave is located at 4201 Central Parkway in Dublin.

Lifeguards will be assigned to the pool to enforce city swimming pool rules and to monitor personal conduct and perform emergency rescue and lifesaving techniques when needed.

The swim instructor position will teach patrons to swim, coordinate and teach swimming and water safety courses while enforcing city swimming pool rules and monitor conduct.
