Livermore ArtWalk Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Over 200 artists participated in the ArtWalk in downtown Livermore that celebrated its 20th anniversary this year.
The community turned out in significant numbers to support the Livermore ArtWalk event that featured original artwork, live music and creative activities.
ArtWalk supports the operations of the Bothwell arts center and is an annual event organized by Anne Giancola, Visual Arts Manager at the Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center. The event was held in 2020 but had a smaller footprint due to Covid-related public health safety guidelines.

Artworks on display ranged from contemporary to classical, abstract to realist, pottery to mixed media and included handmade bags, ceramic garden art and jewelry, with a wide variation in subject matter from floral to figurative and much more. Art is the main focus of the ArtWalk where the public gets to meet the artists and buy one-of-a-kind, original hand made items.

The Livermore Arts Association (LAA) were also on location sharing information about arts activities in the region including an upcoming workshop by Stephen C. Wagner, entitled " What Sells: Creating A Saleable Body of Work. His general meeting program last May on Creating a Cohesive Body of Work was so well received that the LAA decided to bring him back for a 2-hour webinar on October 19, 7-9pm.

This time, artists can learn to create a body of art that sells. Christine Watters , event organizer and LAA Vice President, commented that it is sure to be an informative and engaging talk. You can register for the workshop here.
