Local Hairstylist Makes the Cut

A local stylist from Dublin knows what it means to be a cut above the rest.

stylist Sofia Carney was one of five stylists who earned the honor to participate in Sport Clips Haircuts’ “The Look” competition live at a recent national conference in San Antonio. 

Sofia Carney took home $1,500 for her second place design.

Carney designed her style with a razor, creating some deep point cuts.

She said the guy-style is mature, but fun.

“I love Sport Clips, and I love doing hair," said Carney.

“We love giving our stylists the opportunity to show off their creativity and skills every year in this national competition,” said Julie Vargas, Sport Clips director of Career Opportunities.
