May Is "Shelter In Fun" Month In City Of Dublin

On May 1, the City will celebrate "Dress Your Pet Day." Residents are encouraged to dress up their pets or a favorite stuffed animals.

During the month of May, while residents are sheltering in place, the City of Dublin will be sharing ways that the community can "Shelter in Fun." This new series of events will provide at-home activities to have fun as a community, but at a distance. On Friday, May 1, the City will celebrate "Dress Your Pet Day." Residents are encouraged to dress up their pets or a favorite stuffed animal and have them "paws" for the camera. Afterward, they can post their photos on social media, tagging @dublinrec with the hashtags, #DublinShelterInFun and #DublinAtADistance.

Following "Dress Your Pet Day," the week of May 4-8 will be "Dublin At-Home Spirit Week":

  • Monday, May 4: Pajama Day
  • Tuesday, May 5: Crazy Hair Day
  • Wednesday, May 6: Wacky Wednesday
  • Thursday, May 7: Sports Day
  • Friday, May 8: "I Love Dublin" Day

Each Friday through May will also be "Family Friday," in which the City will provide fun and easy family activities for families to do at home and then post on social media:
