The women and children who come to Shepherd’s Gate are seeking to start a new life. They are able shop for free at the thrift store for clothes for job interviews and school as well as items to furnish a new place to live after graduation. Proceeds from the thrift store directly support the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate by providing care, safety, education and encouragement as they rebuild their lives. Grainbakers offers one-of-a-kind whole-grain breadmaking classes and soft pretzel-making workshops. We are honored to be in a guest residency at Pans on Fire, the beloved Pleasanton cooking school. We are also well known for wholesome staff team builders hosted right at your office. Spent grain and brewer's barley are healthy whole grains recycled from the brewing process. Our 90-minute workshops are hosted at some of the country's best breweries, and they often sell out fast. Classes blend fun, relaxation, and the pride of saying "I made that." Whether you are brand new to breadmaking or a seasoned sourdough pro craving a fresh twist, you are welcome here. We especially love showing homebrewers how to transform that beautiful spent grain and brewer's barley into something extraordinary. Every workshop pairs you with friendly Teaching Assistants who guide you through mixing, shaping, and prepping your dough. You leave with oven-ready dough to bake fresh at home, plus recipes and tips to keep the magic going in your own kitchen. The aromas, the laughter, and the brewery atmosphere all add up to a night you will remember. This is a fun night out that is also an affordable night out. Most cooking classes are very expensive, and many paint-and-sip or craft classes burn through supplies, create a pile of trash, and still come with a hefty price tag. This exciting new event invites you to gather with friends and family for an evening filled with incredible food, lively company, and the beautiful backdrop of the vineyard.
Guests will enjoy a Southern-style feast featuring fresh shrimp, crawfish, and mussels, paired with perfectly seasoned potatoes, sweet corn on the cob, and zesty chicken sausage&nbsp;cooked to perfection. This incredible meal will take place at the Wood Family estate, located at 7702 Cedar Mountain Road in Livermore.
