New Book Store Is Open for Business
The grand opening of Half Price Books is March 3, but you can check out the store ahead of time.

The grand-opening celebration was supposed to take place Feb. 17 at the store at 7898 Dublin Boulevard, but now the event is scheduled for March 3.

Half Price Books has 112 stores nationwide. The Dublin store is the fourth in the Bay Area, joining Fremont, Concord and Berkeley.
The Dublin outlet is larger than most of the chain's stores. It's 10,800 square feet and will carry 120,000 books.

Half Price Books gets its books from two sources. One is buying slightly used books from individuals. The other is purchasing overstock from publishing companies.
As the name implies, the chain sells its books at lower prices than other stores.
The store is handing out coupons that are valid from March 3 - March 7, ranging from 20 percent off to 50 percent off to celebrate the grand opening.
