New Business: BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse Submits Application for East Dublin Location

Restaurant chain seeks a spot in the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center.

A national restaurant chain has applied to open a location in east Dublin, where a new is being built.

BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse has filed an application with the City of Dublin to open a restaurant in the Fallon Gateway Shopping Center on the west side of the Fallon Road overpass.

Linda Smith-Maurer, Economic Development Director, confirmed the news with Dublin Patch Thursday morning.

According to its website, BJ's Restaurant features about 100 menu items that include deep dish pizza, salads, sandwiches, soups, pasta and their own line of handcrafted microbrewed beers. Customers can also look forward to their "famous" Pizookie dessert, which includes a cookie topped with two scoops of vanilla ice cream and served in a deep dish.

The restaurant has locations throughout the Bay Area and country. Nearby locations Concord, Newark, San Mateo and San Bruno.

The Target in the shopping center is expected to open in early October. Fallon Gateway is currently marketing space for lease for additional restaurants and stores.
