New Dublin City Council Installed

Melissa Hernandez, Jean Josey and Kashef Qaadri were sworn in, while Michael McCorriston was selected as vice mayor.

DUBLIN, CA — A new city council was installed Tuesday night in Dublin.

Mayor Melissa Hernandez was sworn in for her second term as mayor by former Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty. Hernandez ran unopposed.

Councilmember Jean Josey, who most recently served as vice mayor, was sworn in for her second term by former Dublin Mayor Tim Sbranti.

New Councilmember Kashef Qaadri, who formerly served on the planning commission, was also sworn in by Sbranti.

The council unanimously selected Councilmember Michael McCoriston as the new vice mayor.
