DUBLIN/LIVERMORE, CA — No Kings civic events are taking place Saturday at Emerald Glen Park in Dublin and Portola Park in Livermore. This will be the third No Kings event in Livermore, and the second in Dublin. Roughly 2,500 No Kings events are planned throughout the nation Saturday. Many, including the ones in Dublin and Livermore, are branded more as civic family events focusing on early voting and voter registration.

The “No Kings: Vote Early Family Fair” will take place at Emerald Glen Park from 2-4 p.m. Saturday. Organizers said that the event is a place where “voters of all stripes, current and future, are celebrated.” The event will feature activities for kids like face painting, hands-on craft stations, and carnival-style games. Kids will also be able to practice voting in the “Living Room Referendum,” described as a “playful way for kids and parents to practice democracy.”

Guests will also be able to meet local civic leaders and receive nonpartisan information about voter registration, early voting, and ballot safety. Guests can bring their ballots and join a group walk to drop off completed ballots together at the Wave ballot drop box.
