The explosion of FootGolf’s popularity is being compared to when snowboarding was introduced to ski resorts. For the course there is very little investment and virtually everything in golf is mirrored by this highly addictive alternative as you walk the picturesque fairways without any equipment but a ball. FootGolf is appealing to all ages, skill levels and demographics including soccer players, families and recreational athletes.
Hosting the event is the California FootGolf Association (CFGA, founded in 2012) which is the official State Association of the United States FootGolf Association (USFGA). The CFGA provides opportunities for increased play and awareness through its Official Tournaments, Membership Program, Newsletter, Premier Services and FootGolf Club Program. The CFGA also provides support to local golf courses with their FootGolf course layout, marketing support and best practices. To learn more about FootGolf visit www.footgolfcalifornia.com
