Overnight Fire Inside Edge Motorworks Extinguished

BREAKING: Fire officials said the sprinkler system helped control the fire.

DUBLIN, CA — A fire reported inside a Dublin auto repair shop Monday night started in a car parked on a rack, fire officials said. The blaze, which was reported at Edge Motorworks just after midnight, set off the sprinkler system in the shop.

Alameda County and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department crews were able to quickly knock down the fire. No one was injured in the blaze and there was no estimate of the damaged caused by the fire.

The shop has been in business in Dublin since 2004, according to the Edge Motorworks website.
