A Petting Zoo In Park Without Permit Is Baaaad, Dublin Police Say

Officers hugged the goats and sent them on their way.

DUBLIN, CA — A small petting zoo with goats operating at a popular Dublin park was shut down this week. Deputies were called to Emerald Glen Park Wednesday to investigate the little menagerie.

The person running the zoo did not have a permit to be in the city park and was in violation of Dublin Municipal Code. Although the police did not seize the animals, they did issue several goat hugs and the operator was asked to leave.
