In Pictures: Dublin's St. Patrick's Day Weekend of Celebrations and Shenanigans

We wait all year for St. Patrick’s Day weekend in Dublin. Suddenly everyone is a little bit Irish (for about 48 hours) in the town that offers so many ways to celebrate.

On Friday, the Dublin Sister Cities Association’s annual Green and White Gala was hosted by Dublin City Councilman Abe Gupta and Patch Editor Autumn Johnson. Saturday morning Alameda County firefighters cranked out a flapjacks for the masses at a pancake breakfast and the Dublin Lions Club parade rolled through town, drawing thousands from around the East Bay.

The two-day St. Patrick’s Day Festival bustled with visitors from all over the Bay Area sporting their green pride. The City of Dublin’s 17th Annual Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk in Sunday morning rounded out the very Irish weekend in a very Irish town.
