The general objective of the San Ramon Bears is to inspire youth regardless of race, creed and national origin or financial ability for the purpose of practicing sportsmanship, physical fitness and high academic achievement.

The specific objectives of this program are:

To familiarize participants with the fundamentals of football, to provide the opportunity to play that game in a supervised, organized and safety-oriented manner and to keep the welfare of the participants free of any adult ambition and personal glory.

To provide spirit squads to support football activities and compete with other squads in events with a safe, organized and supervised environment, while encouraging individual participation, self-confidence, neatness and teamwork.

To ultimately prepare football players and cheerleaders for their next level of competition.
