Save a Kitten Campaign Kicks Off in Dublin

Throughout April and May, Pet Food Express in Dublin, located at 4460 Tassajara Road, is holding the Save A Kitten campaign.

According to a release issued by Pet Food Express, some shelters and rescues cannot care for all of the 4-week-old and younger kittens that come in, so many are euthanized.

“The shelters and cat rescue groups are doing all they can, but they need our help. The Save A Kitten program was developed to provide that help,” said Mike Murray, Director of Community Outreach for Pet Food Express.

“Taking kittens into your home to foster for a short period of time or donating products or money to those that are taking care of these helpless kittens will make a tremendous difference and will save lives,” said Murray.

If you purchase an item at Pet Food Express to donate to kittens and cats it will be discounted 20 percent.

Last year, Pet Food Express raised $21,000 for Bay Area cat rescue via Save A Kitten—and hopes to more than double that amount this year.

So far, nearly $15,000 has been raised for kitten and cat rescues and shelters since the campaign started this month.
