School Community Rallies to Help Dublin Teacher Who Suffered Debilitating Strokes
John Green Elementary teacher Kris Faulkner is working to regain her strength and mobility.
DUBLIN, CA — The Dublin school community is rallying to raise funds for a beloved teacher who suffered from several debilitating strokes just two weeks before school started. Kris Faulkner, who is a teacher at John Green Elementary in Dublin, is unable to work and is in therapy several hours a day as part of her rehabilitation, according to a Go Fund Me page started by the staff at John Green Elementary.
The money raised will help with the costs associated with her care and recovery. The fundraiser has garnered almost $9,000 so far.
“We hope to have her back at John Green Elementary teaching Kindergarten/First grades soon," parent Heather Clemmensen told Patch.
