DUBLIN, CA — The Public Safety Complex for Dublin Police Services and Alameda County Fire Department administrative offices is up and running, and kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and event Feb. 22.
Patch reader Vanessa Thomas snapped some photos of the event, which can be seen by scrolling through the gallery above.
The $15 million Public Safety Complex project included the demolition of two buildings, renovation of one building and reconstruction of another. The old police services building at the Dublin Civic Center will see its lower level turned into a Cultural Arts Center. Parks and Community Services staff will move into the upper floor.

Alameda County Fire personnel had occupied the site of the new complex since 2014 but relocated during construction, the city said in a statement.
Dublin officials said in 2018 that police had outgrown their current station. Police administration, operations and other services will be housed at the building, which features a larger Emergency Operations Center, and briefing and training room, the city said.
