Shopping at the Alameda County Fair

If you're in the mood to shop, get in your car and head for the Alameda County Fair. It features dozens of vendors selling items ranging from the traditional to the unique.

The fair seems to have a little bit of everything: pots and pans, cleaning products, jewelry and even cell phones. And don't worry if you forgot your sunglasses and hat when you're shopping in one of the many outdoor booths. Large selections of both are available.

The fair is one of the few places you can buy enough jewelry cleaner to last for years at the same time you pick up exercise equipment.

If you're hoping to buy a bed, there's a vendor offering mattresses.

And don't forget leather wallets, clothing, window coverings, alarm systems and cheese graters, which represent just a small sampling of the shopping options at the fair.
