Sprouts & Shutters: Dublin Kia Grand Opening
A new car dealership is open for business in Dublin
Dublin Kia, located at the end of John Monego Court in Dublin, has been open for business for about six weeks but celebrated its grand opening on Feb. 21 with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new dealership created 50 new jobs for Dublin.
Congressman Eric Swalwell spoke at the ceremony and said that he learned early on that it is a "precious commodity for a city to have a car dealership."
"It takes ten thousand cups of coffee to equal one car sale," he said.
Swalwell presented a flag and congressional certificate to Inder Dosanjh, the dealership owner.
Mayor Tim Sbranti said Dublin is very fortunate to have so many dealerships.
"If you want a car, come to Dublin," said Sbranti.
Dosanjh, who started out working in an auto shop, owns the dealership with his wife, Valvinder Dosanjh.
