At its regular meeting held on Tuesday, August 18, the Dublin City Council took a number of actions. Below is a summary of actions taken:

  • Recognized new Commander of Camp Parks, Lieutenant Colonel Serena D. Johnson, and new Alameda County Fire Department Fire Chief William L. McDonald.
  • Approved the minutes of the July 9, 2020, City Council Special Meeting, and the July 21, 2020, Regular City Council Meeting.
  • Adopted the Ordinance Amending Dublin Municipal Code Section 2.08.020 and Providing for an Increase in the Salary for Members of the City Council.
  • Adopted the Resolution Waiving the Competitive Bid Process and Approving the Purchase of Two Fire Engines Through Cooperative Purchasing Contracts, and Approving the Outfitting of the Fire Engines by the Alameda County Fire Department as a Sole Source Provider.
  • Adopted the Resolution Authorizing the Purchase of Computers and Related Equipment from Dell Marketing, L.P., in an amount in excess of $45,000, for the City’s daily business operations.
  • Adopted the Ordinance Approving Amendments to the Dublin Municipal Code Amending Chapter 4.04 (Business Registration) Relating to Sworn Statement Requirements, in order to streamline the business license registration process.
  • Adopted the Resolution Approving a Commercial Façade Improvement Grant Program Agreement with Fred N. Delanoy, Trustee (property owner) to assist with the façade improvements to Dublin Plaza commercial center, located at 6985-7001 Dublin Boulevard.
  • Adopted the Resolution Approving an Amendment to the Agreement with Colin Selig for a Public Art Project at Clover Park.
  • Adopted Resolutions Approving Agreements with several vendors, HERC Rentals for Electrical Equipment Rental; Prime Time Entertainment for Lighting and Sound Equipment Rental; and Special Events Rentals for Tents, Stages, and Other Event Furniture Rentals, for City-Produced Special Events During FY 2020-22.
  • Approved a motion to deny the At Dublin Project "without prejudice." This action, in effect, denies the previously presented project and allows for Staff and the property owner to develop a robust community engagement process around the future development of the site.
  • Revised the City of Dublin’s Mission, Vision, and Values statements to ensure that the statements reflected the importance of greater inclusivity, diversity, and equity.
