  • Approved the minutes of the Regular City Council meeting held on May 19, 2020.
  • Approved the Heritage and Cultural Arts Commission’s recommendations for the Utility Box Art Program, allowing for the painting of 10 additional utility boxes.
  • Adopted the Resolution approving funding recommendations for the Fiscal Year 2020-21 Human Services Grant Program.
  • Adopted the Resolution authorizing the City of Dublin’s continued participation in Alameda County’s Urban County Program for the Community Development Block Grant and HOME Investment Partnership funds for Fiscal Years 2021-2023.
  • Adopted an Ordinance approving amendments to the Dublin Municipal Code to comply with State law pertaining to Large Family Day Care Homes, and to expand upon uses in the Industrial zoning districts to encourage economic development.
  • Adopted the Resolution authorizing the application for, and receipt of, Local Early Action Planning (LEAP) grant funds to support City planning by helping to offset the City’s cost of preparing the the State-mandated update to the City’s Housing Element of the General Plan, along with an implementation component to facilitate compliance with the sixth Regional Housing Needs Allocation (RHNA) cycle.
  • Adopted the Resolution accepting the Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex Project.
  • Adopted an Ordinance approving amendments to Chapter 8.58 (Public Art Program) of the Zoning Ordinance to allow additional use of Public Art Funds to further promote and create new opportunities for art in the public domain.
  • Adopted the Resolution approving the adoption of the annual GANN Limit, in accordance with a California State Law that limits the amount of tax money the City of Dublin can legally spend. The Fiscal Year 2020-21 GANN limit for the City of Dublin is $398,039,721.
  • Adopted the Resolution approving an amendment for the Consulting Services Agreement between the City of Dublin and Hinderliter, de Llamas and Associates for Sales Tax Analysis, and Audit and Information Services.
  • Directed Staff to review the City’s Conflict of Interest Code and take appropriate action to amend the code, if necessary.
  • Adopted a Resolution Approving the Engineer’s Report and Ordering a Levy of Assessment for five Landscape and Lighting Districts.
  • Adopted a Resolution denying appeals and affirming the Planning Commission’s approval of a Site Development Review Permit for the construction of the Cambria Hotel project. The City Council also adopted a Resolution approving a Community Benefit Agreement between the City of Dublin and VP-RPG Dublin, LLC, the project applicant.
  • Provided Staff with direction to continue to hold the upcoming City Council meeting via Zoom Video Communications during the COVID-19 pandemic, and revisit the issue for the July 21 meeting.
  • Adopted an Urgency Ordinance Authorizing the City Manager to Waive Certain Zoning Ordinance Requirements and/or Standards to Facilitate Business Operations Affected by COVID-19 Public Health Orders.
  • Adjourned the City Council meeting to Tuesday, June 9, at 6:00 p.m., due to the lateness of the hour. The following Agenda items will be heard on June 9:
    • Conduct a Public Hearing to consider adopting Resolutions to: 1) Approve a Budget for the City of Dublin for Fiscal Year 2020-21; 2) Establish a Salary Plan for Full-Time Personnel in Accordance with the Personnel Rules; and 3) Establish a Salary Plan for Management Positions Exempt from Competitive Services.
    • Conduct a Public Hearing to consider adopting a Resolution Adopting the Five-Year Capital Improvement Program, 2020-2025.
    • Review and discuss a list of national proclamations which recognize a national appreciation day, week, or month.
    • Receive a report on Short-Term Rentals.
