Tri-Valley Small Business Workshop Hosted In Dublin

The Tri-Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance in partnership with Assembly Member Bauer-Kahan hosted a free small business workshop in Dublin

Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan welcomed local business owners to the 2019 Tri-Valley Small Business Workshop.

The event was hosted by the Tri-Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance in partnership with Assemblymember Bauer-Kahan and her team that included Gabriela Jimenez and Shawn Kumagai (Councilmember for the City of Dublin).

The free workshop, designed to help small businesses prosper, proved to be so popular that it had to be waitlisted. Workshop participants had access to various resources and presentations were given by expert speakers including representatives from: The Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) ; Office of the Alameda County Assessor; Small Business Development Centers from Alameda and Contra Costa Counties; and the Alameda County Workforce Development Board.

Dawn Argula, Livermore Valley Chamber of Commerce CEO, introduced the CEOs of the participating Chambers of Commerce who form part of the Tri-Valley Chambers of Commerce Alliance namely Livermore, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin and Pleasanton.

There was useful exchange of information including discussion on California Assembly Bill 5 which relates to worker status for employees and independent contractors.

"I learned so much about resources and support available for small business owners in the Tri-Valley region," commented attendee Ramya Ramakrishnan "I managed to do some networking and got to learn more about a few other business owners as well. Thank you organizers!"
