Swalwell had planned to take questions and update attendees on legislation recently passed by the Democrat-controlled U.S. House, including bills to raise minimum wage, lower prescription drug prices, advance LGBTQ equality, end gun violence, according to a press release from his office. Many of these efforts died in the Republican-controlled Senate.
Swalwell also said in the press release that he wanted to discuss "holding an out-of-control President accountable."
